AFTER YOU BOOK

Please find the service(s) you’ve book below and the corresponding next steps and helpful requests to make your consult as successful as possible.

Reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns. Thank you and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Lactation Consultations:

  • Please be on the lookout in your email for paperwork for your upcoming visit. Any consent forms and intake forms must be complete before the appointment. Please have your questions written down for me so that you don't forget them as well as any pictures or videos relevant to the issue at hand.
  • Remember to try and schedule your visit for 30 minutes before a feeding time or as close to it as possible. If your baby is too fussy or hungry before the appointment, it is okay to feed baby for a few minutes to soothe so that we can still try and facilitate a feed during the consultation. Try not to feed them until they're full. If your baby is not eating at the breast/chest well, please have extra pumped milk or formula for a feeding if needed.
  • I am sometimes running late due to previous visits and their complexity. If I am running more than 5-10 minutes late, I will text to inform you.
  • Baby will most likely be weighed at your visit. Please have baby in easy to remove clothes and have a few clean diapers available to zero out my scale. Also, a swaddle or other small piece of cloth will be helpful to have to put on the scale as it can be cold from being in my car.
  • If you would like me to look at your pump or any other lactation equipment (including bottles), please have it out and ready for me to look at or bring it to your office visit.
  • I have no requirements when it comes to where we’ll conduct the visit (if in-home). Please pick someplace comfortable for you and your baby and maybe a spot for me to sit if possible, but I’m also okay sitting on the floor. If the visit is in office, there will be space to feed and change baby and it is a safe place to be yourself however you'd like to arrive.
  • I am sometimes running late due to previous visits and their complexity. If I am running more than 5-10 minutes late, I will text to inform you.
  • If you are a client through The Lactation Network, there is a $50 travel fee for in-home visits that is not covered by The Lactation Network. You will be invoiced for this prior to the visit and it must be paid before the visit.

Craniosacral Therapy Sessions:

  • Please be on the lookout in your email for paperwork for your upcoming visit. Any consent forms and intake forms must be complete before the appointment. Please have your questions written down for me so that you don't forget them as well as any pictures or videos relevant to the issue at hand.
  • Try to feed baby before a CST visit. If baby needs to eat during the visit, that’s okay and they will never be deprived of eating.

  • Please dress baby in clothes that are easy to remove. I assess baby’s reflexes and reactions to the work and sometimes clothes can hide those clues. Baby will always be kept in at least a diaper for the session.
  • Please remember that Craniosacral Therapy is a separate service and is only a part of Initial Lactation Consults. If you want to add it to your lactation visit after the initial, it is a $50 add on. If your appointment is ONLY for CST, I will not be able to assess latch or help with breastfeeding issues. If you do have lactation questions that will need physical help or care plan, you will be charged for a lactation visit with a CST add-on. Please email me if you have questions about this.
